2024 McLaren Senna GTR Price, Engine And Specs
2024 McLaren Senna GTR Price, Engine And Specs! As the most track-focused model in the British company’s expanding lineup, McLaren placed Formula 1 World Champion Ayrton Senna’s name on a new supercar that was unveiled to the public in 2018.
The Senna sounds and looks like a full-fledged racecar thanks to maximum aerodynamics and a roaring 789 horsepower going just to the rear wheels.
McLaren later produced a small batch of 75 Sennas in track-only GTR spec with 814 horsepower on tap for customers who required even more intense performance. The chassis number 28 has just appeared on the auction website Bring a Trailer, where it is expected to fetch a high seven-figure sum.
There are too many performance upgrades to a “normal” Senna that make a GTR the perfect track toy for billionaires to detail here.
Even though the track has been extending by 2.7 inches at the back and three inches in front, those wings are still able to generate 2,205 pounds of downforce when the car is moving quickly. With a total weight of 2,619 pounds, the GTR supports McLaren’s assertion that it is still the most performance-oriented car it has ever created outside of genuine Formula 1 racecar.

Contact McLaren if you’re interested in purchasing one; I’d wager that the majority of you would be. They’d be more than happy to discuss how much money you should spend with you. The Geneva Motor Show this year solicited “expressions of interest,” which are about as British as anything I’ve read today. Each one will cost about $1.704 million.

McLaren Senna GTR 2024 Power & Performance
If you know how to handle air, it can perform amazing feats. The McLaren Senna GTR has 2,205 lbs. of downforce and can screw its plug-ugly ass to the tarmac of a racetrack. The 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 found in the road car, which already produces an astonishing 789 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, is coupled with even more power and torque to give the vehicle its aerodynamic capabilities.
The combined weight is roughly 2,641 lbs. The Senna GTR will be significantly faster in a straight line with an increase of at least 814 horsepower. All of that, combined with a race-style transmission (I’m assuming a full dog box setup), updated double wishbone suspension and full-on Pirelli race slicks, makes it simple to believe McLaren when they claim the Senna GTR records the fastest lap times around the McLaren circuit outside of a Formula 1 vehicle.
The carbon fibre Monocage III structure used by the Senna GTR is the same as that used by the vehicle’s road-going counterpart, and it nevertheless offers more than enough core strength and rigidity for a track-only car. The remaining technical details will be verified later this year.
McLaren Senna GTR 2024 Form and Function
‘Form follows function is the McLaren design tenet, which I would love to see here, but all I can think of is how the McLaren Senna GTR resembles a doodle from little Mikey Bay’s notebook, about the eighth grade. With the addition of elaborate race graphics, it somehow surpasses Senna’s usual portfolio of poor design concepts.
The Senna GTR does have a wider track and redesigned fenders up front and rear, along with new wheels made expressly for usage on racetracks. To be fair, I guess.
