2024 Nissan Murano: Price, Release Date and Features
Despite the rumors about the potential redesign, (2024 Nissan Murano) Nissan officials have been uber-quiet about Murano’s future, so quiet that we don’t have a clue about it. It may be that even the management doesn’t know what to do it. Should it offer the next generation, or maybe replace it with something all-electric? We don’t want to speculate and whatever happens, it probably won’t happen so soon. Instead, the current Murano, which has been around since 2015, will probably carry on and remained untouched for the next year. The 2024 Nissan Murano should be a typical carryover model, though there is always room for minor tweaks, especially when it comes to standard features, equipment groups and similar things.
All in all, we know what to expect from the next year’s model. We are about to see a familiar design, with familiar strengths and weaknesses. Despite the age, this SUV still has a couple of good things to offer, starting from the smooth ride, decent engine power and some of the best seats in the class.
2024 Nissan Murano
As mentioned, the current generation has been around for a pretty long time, since 2015. Interestingly, not many things have changed ever since, not even in terms of aesthetics. The styling is pretty much the same as eight years ago, and it definitely started to show its age. Younger rivals, such as Hyundai Santa Fe and Chevy Blazer look way more modern, but that’s not the only aspect where Murano lags behind the competition. Things in terms of mechanics aren’t impressive either.
The Murano is based on the older version of Nissan’s D platform and despite the smooth and comfortable ride, the chassis and suspension setup aren’t the greatest. No, the ride is anything but engaging, because there isn’t much athleticism in this old SUV, while steering feels extremely generic.

2024 Nissan Murano Release Date and Price
With no bigger changes to come, it’s quite easy to guess that the 2024 Nissan Murano is going to hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year. The same is for the price, which shouldn’t change much compared to the current model, which starts at around 34.000 dollars.
2024 Nissan Murano Interior
Things are way better on the inside, according to our humble opinion. Of course, the dashboard isn’t the most modern-looking around, but the materials and overall build quality are pretty decent. Also, there is a good portion of standard equipment, while we particularly like the front seats, which are arguably some of the best on the market. They are massive, with great comfort and side support, while the ergonomics are pretty good as well.
The front row is very generous with space, and the same could be said for the back seats. Both rows accommodate adults with ease, though that’s what we expect from models in this class anyway. What’s not so great is the cargo area, which offers around 32.1 cubic feet of space behind the second row and a maximum of 67 cubic feet. While the numbers are not terrible, that’s still way below average for the segment.

2024 Nissan Murano Features
As we already mentioned, it’s always possible to see tweaks in this aspect. Nissan could add a few more standard features or reorganize trim levels and equipment groups. However, we don’t expect it to bring drastic changes compared to the current model. Instead, things should remain rather similar.
For reference, the current model comes standard with goodies like an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, a six-speaker audio system, four USB ports, Bluetooth, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry and push-button start. Among upgrades, you can find navigation and an 11-speaker Bose audio system, as well as a remote start and a panoramic moonroof.
The same is with safety features. We expect to see all models equipped with a rearview camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and many more. Among options, expect to find things like adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, traffic-sign recognition and surround-view camera system.
2024 Nissan Murano Engine
Things under the hood definitely won’t change and the 2024 Nissan Murano will carry on with a familiar 3.5-liter V6, which is good for about 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. That’s a solid amount of power but somehow, the engine doesn’t show its full potential, most likely because of the CVT gearbox.
On the other hand, the obvious benefit of this transmission is very good fuel efficiency. Whether you pick FWD or AWD version, you may count on about 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, which is pretty good for a mid-size SUV. What’s not so good is the max towing capacity, which is just 1.500 pounds. For comparison, Honda Passport can tow up to 5.000 pounds.
